Memorializing the Holocaust – Perspectives from Austria and Canada

The Shoah Wall of Names, a new Memorial to the Austrian victims of the Holocaust was unveiled in Vienna this November. To mark this historic moment, join us for a round table discussion focusing on the importance of memorializing the Shoah both in Austria and Canada. Featuring Hannah Lessing (Secretary General of the National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism), Martin Engelberg (Member of the Austrian Parliament, sponsor of a bill allowing descendants of Austrian victims of the Nazi regime to obtain Austrian citizenship), Michael Levitt (President & CEO of the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies), and Naomi Kramer (President of the Holocaust Education and Genocide Foundation). Special presentation by Kurt Tutter and video presentation featuring Eric Bissell.
